An amazing few days at Amazing Acorn! This tucked-away home was so clean and welcoming! The hosts thought of everything from a screened in front AND back porch, fireplace, volleyball net, horseshoe pit and fire pit - this home really has it all! Our kids also LOVED their bunk beds! We really enjoyed kayaking and fishing on Trout Lake - so serene and relaxing! We will definitely be back as this trip was a 10 out of 10!

Our stay at Amazing Acorn was an unforgettable retreat, blending serene family moments and cherished times with friends. The home was cozy and well-equipped, making it a perfect space for our group, including my wife, our son, and 4 close friends.

The highlight was watching our son taking his first steps and walking around all on his own, a milestone that filled us all with joy in the, welcoming environment of the home. Our friends brought their small son and it was most definitely an awesome experience watching the two boys play and build memories together. The location's natural beauty offered a tranquil escape, allowing us to reconnect and enjoy leisurely walks and scenic views.

Our hosts ensured our comfort with thoughtful touches, making us feel cared for and providing excellent recommendations to enhance our local experience along with being readily available for anything we might need. This trip, will be remembered fondly, embodying the essence of quality time spent with loved ones.

One of the best places we have ever rented! Everything was clean, well maintained and meticulously cared for. It was perfect for ourselves & two toddlers. The kids had their own room with extra toys (they LOVED the train set) & the lawn games were great to keep everyone occupied & outside! The lake is a beautiful short walk, and taking the kayak out to catch the sunset was an incredible experience. Everything from the fire pit to the grill to the extra amenities were well maintained. We enjoyed everything Bolton Landing has to offer as well, which is just a short minute drive. This place has it all, and we can’t wait to return!

The house was beautiful even better in person. Our host was very helpful and accommodating making suggestions for local attractions during our stay to sending all the information we needed to know for our stay at his property. We loved the property as well very secluded in the mountain but minutes away from everything including the lake itself. Comfortable furnishings make you feel right at home. Everything was as promised and then some.

If you’re still on the fence about booking..DO IT. Staying here for the weekend with my husband's and my parents felt like we were living in a Hallmark movie. Seriously perfect for the autumn and winter months. This was an AMAZING setting for our family trip together right at the end of September. The leaves were already starting to change color and the familiar crisp of autumn air was already running up by the Amazing Acorn, which made this trip all the more wonderful. The home itself is spectacular, as every room was designed to feel just like home. We traveled with a toddler and the play corner was perfect for her. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook all weekend and the beds were all so comfortable. The fireplace was definitely one of our favorite amenities in our group of 6 adults! We found ourselves huddled around it at the end of each day, drinking something warm and eating something sweet. But, by far, our absolutely favorite feature was the fireplace by Lake Trout that was just a 2 minute drive down the road (or a 7-10 minute walk). It was so beautiful and serene and the ducks were so friendly! Our family was raving about the place the whole trip and we’re already planning to book again. A huge thank you to Shawn and his wife for thinking of everything when taking care of each of their guests - being available to answer any questions while providing privacy to their guests at the same time. They’re amazing hosts and we absolutely can’t wait to be back!

Perfect location between Lake George and Bolton Landing with an option for a quieter private beach on Lake Trout! The house was wonderful and had everything we needed and even outdoor games stored in the shed. The house was also very kid friendly with toys and baby proofing items like door locks and baby gates which was extremely helpful for vacationing with three toddlers! We had an awesome experience at Amazing Acorn! 10/10 would recommend staying here if you’re ever in Lake George. It was the perfect getaway for the family. The house was very clean and COZY, most importantly it was in close proximity to all the best restaurants and activities (which was super helpful when traveling with kids). This is our second time at the Amazing Acorn! It is the quintessential getaway that checks all the boxes. The house is tucked amongst the trees surrounded by plenty of space for activities year-round. The interior is just as beautiful and impressively CLEAN! The beds are so comfortable and cozy. The house is well stocked with everything you might need. Really! Nothing was left wanting. Bolten Landing and all the attractions of Lake George are a short 5-10 minute ride away. This was an impromptu weekend trip with my husband and another couple. Shawn was more than accommodating and ensured everything was perfect for us upon arrival. We took advantage of his restaurant and bar suggestions, which did not disappoint. We'll definitely be back soon. If you're looking for the perfect escape, look no further than the Amazing Acorn

The Amazing Acorn was a perfect find for our family vacation! 4 adults and 4 boys (ages 5,6,7,8) had a blast! The bunk room was great. The TV corner in there was a bonus! Shawn supples everything you could think of. A new kids kayak was delivered the day we arrived and he immediately told us to unwrap it and use it! The yard supplies non stop opportunities for games, exploring and laughs.
The house was spotless upon arrival, everything was functioning and clean. We have ready booked for next summer and wondering about a family visit for the winter!!

Our first time vacationing at Lake George, and had the best time! It started with a great accommodation. Amazing Acorn was clean, modern and spacious. It was extremely close to all attractions including Lake George! We highly recommend it and we’ll definitely be back next year!

It has everything you could ask for when you want to get away.

The property is picturesque, kitchen fully equipped and whole home was spotless.

Shawn and Lisa are so attentive and on top of everything for their guests.

Proximity to the Village of Lake George and Boltons Landing is perfect as both are a short ride “down the hill” one direction or the other.

Beyond the short rides locally there is a slew of things to do in the area all year long.

This is the exact vacation we were looking for. Trout lake and the ability to have beach access for our kayaks and floats were perfect. The other family we shared the beach with was friendly and welcoming. We barely left trout lake the whole week we were there. Shawn the owner was wonderful and provided the best service we could ask for. 10/10

Our family had a great week! Amazing Acorn thought of everything from tubes and kayaks, to towels, spices and 2 coffee makers! We made use of the screened in porches and the fire pit every night for s’mores!

We absolutely loved the house. It's in a great location (right off a lake in a quiet forest), very roomy and well appointed. Plenty of space for 9 people in our party (4 adults and 5 kids). Everything was great - from amazing fireplace and plenty of firewood, great TV and kitchen with grill, down to many kids games. We really enjoyed ourselves and will highly recommend it. A+

We had an amazing stay at Shawn's beautiful home. 3 solids days of skiing at Gore Mountain for the teenagers and 3 full days of show-shoeing for the aunts and myself. Shawn's house was fully stocked - great kitchen and comfy beds. We made fires every night in their fireplace and played lots of games. Our dog loved exploring around the property as well. Shawn was extremely prompt with all correspondence - we even had a heating debacle that got resolved immediately. We were so happy to get away and enjoy this wonderful home!

This was the perfect place for a secluded winter wonderland getaway. The area surrounding the house is so beautiful, secluded and magical. The house is the natural representation and modern expression of the local area of Lake George with the cozy feeling of home. The vastness of nature allowing you to reconnect to yourself and the joy of being, amongst the silence without the chaos. It is in close proximity to the lake and other accommodations. The owners were very attentive and responsive in making sure the experience was exactly what I was looking for. If you are looking for an Adirondack experience of nature, purity, fun and excitement I highly recommend you stay at this magical place.

Doesn't matter what the scale is, Amazing Acorn checked all the boxes. The place was as clean as clean can be. I walked around with socks the entire time, and it wouldn't matter if they were white, they still would have ended up clean at the end of our stay. EVERYTHING we needed was already there, and anything extra we wanted was a short and beautiful 5-10 minute drive away. Shawn and Lisa were easy to contact, and quick to answer any questions we had. They had a TON of suggestions, and every one of them from dinner spots, to fishing, to nice views all worked out great. They allowed us to feel like we were at home. Beautiful, modern, clean, comfortable, serene. Not one complaint, and we can't WAIT to go back and stay again, but with the whole family.

If you’re looking for a super clean beautifully updated fully stocked home in the Lake George area this is your house! This was one of the best homes we’ve rented by far! From all of the backyard activities available, to the use of the kayaks, the fully stocked kitchen and baths,the short scenic walk to Trout lake, the 5 minute drive into beautiful Bolton Landing, 10 minutes to Lake George village.. What more can you ask for?
The home is situated on a private secluded lot and is in the perfect location for enjoying both privacy and all the activities Lake George has to offer! The owners are super attentive and accommodating! We enjoyed renting a boat at Chic’s Marina and parasailing at Parasail Joe’s. The week flew by and we are very sad to see it end. We will be back next year to Amazing Acorn and we are so happy to have had the time here!

My family just finished out week vacation at the Amazing Acorn, our first lake trip but def not our last. The house was more beautiful than the pictures shown and included things I don't even have at my own home. So clean and welcoming. The yard was complete with full barbecue and space for the 8 of us. All toys ( big peoples ) included. On the private beach we sat out and sunned then soaked in a tube floating for hours. Even watched the sunset a few nights. Looking forward to our fall visit.

We loved staying at 21 Acorn drive. The home was clean and provided us with whatever we needed. Lots of games activities provided and the area was gorgeous. Sleeping bath and kitchen was very comfortable. Easy access to grocery stores and quaint towns to tour. Would definitely return

We were Shawn's first Airbnb guests! (and I really wanted to keep his place as our family's secret place though I wanted to give him a great review as well!) The house is located close to all the conveniences and excitements which Lake George offers however secluded from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hotspots. Shawn was a great host! He thoughtfully accommodated a couple of advance requests of mine without hesitation. Also he treated us with a couple of local wines and other spirits to welcome us! The house was sparkling clean and excellently maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped, and cabinets were completely stocked, so we were able to travel light! The gas grill, fire pit, outdoor dining table were perfect for us to enjoy the food and each other. The badminton court in the backyard was also a huge plus! What a fun game! The beach was amazingly quiet and family friendly! Even the lake water was so warm to play all day! We were a group with a couple of kids. Kids loved the beach so much, so the first thing they wanted to do as they woke up was to go to the beach and swim! Shawn's private beach was only a 5 min walk from the house and he offered a couple of kayaks and many inflatables for water activities. I was neutral and didn't have any expectation of the place in the beginning but I liked it better and better as I stayed a few days! We are definitely coming back again! Thanks for having us, Shawn!
